Professor Sang-Moon Lee
, PhD, is the University Eminent Scholar and Regents Distinguished University Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. He also served as the Honorary President of Woosong University in South Korea.

Graduated from Seoul National University and received his PhD from the University of Georgia, USA, Professor Lee is a renowned expert in the field of multiple objective decision making and wrote the first ever book on Goal Programming in 1971. His major research, writing, and consulting activities are in the areas of global strategy, innovation through co-creation, innopreneurship (innovation + entrepreneurship), green management, and ICT-enabled comparative advantage.

Professor Lee has authored or co-authored 67 books, 350 journal articles, delivered over 750 speeches in 60 countries, has conducted research projects around the globe, and produced 140 PhDs.

Currently, serving as President of the Pan-Pacific Business Association (PPBA), he has also served as President of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and is a Fellow of the Academy of Management, DSI, and PPBA. Previously, Prof Lee served as Programme Chair of over 45 international and US National Conferences. In addition, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Service Business: An International Journal (SSCI, Springer) and International Journal of Quality Innovation (Springer).

He has received five honorary degrees for his contribution to international business research and education. Professor Lee has consulted widely and is currently a Senior Scientist with the Gallup Organisation.


Dr Sang-Chul Lee, CEO of LG Uplus and Vice Chairman of LG Group since January 2010.

After becoming CEO of LG Uplus, he took the first initiatives in LTE and the company became the world’s first operator which has all-IP LTE only network. Many video LTE services like HDTV, cloud navigation, personal broadcasting are all world’s first and known to be the best at present time. Last year, LG Uplus received ‘The First & Best Company Award’ by Korea Academic Society of Business Administration. Currently, he is designing a new IoT based home network which will eventually lead LG Uplus as ‘New Life Creator’ in the future.

Fluent both in English and Korean, he has over 30 years of experience in telecommunications industry including key leadership roles both in the public and commercial sectors.

Prior to joining LG, he served as president of Kwangwoon University in Seoul which is one of the nation’s most prestigious universities in ICT area. Before his academic position, he served as the Minister of Information and Communications of the South Korean government where he led nation’s key initiatives in building a highly advanced ICT infrastructure.

He was the first president of KTF in 1996 and received the Best CEO Award in Management Innovation in 1998 by the Korea Management Association.

Vice Chairman Lee is also involved in humanitarian activities. For the past eleven years, he has served as the President of Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.

He holds a PhD from Duke University, M.S. from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University, all in Electrical Engineering.
