Event Date 21 Jan 2016 (Thu), 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Event Info

R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. Since it is freely available under the GNU General Public License, it is widely used by scientists for data analysis. While the library has an excellent range of R reference books and e-resources, getting started in learning R programming can still be pretty daunting without some initial help. The aim of this workshop is to help students kick-start their own learning of R. We will work through a common problem of automating data extraction from multiple files, and performing simple statistical analysis in this hands-on session. By the end of the workshop, you will be more confident in learning more about R through the available reference books and e-resources on your own.

All attendees are expected to bring their own laptop with R and R Studio installed.
