Event Info

Dear All,

Jointly organised by Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) and NTU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Prof Alastair V. Campbell will be giving a lecture about the Human Biomedical Research Act, and the opportunities and challenges it will present. The Human Biomedical Research Act is a new legislation that will have a significant impact on the way human biomedical research is conducted, including enforceable requirements for consent, documentation, IRB organisation and administration as well as researcher, IRB and research institution responsibilities. The law also contains requirements for tissue research.

We encourage all research faculty, researchers, postgraduate students and research administrators to attend this lecture on 8 February 2017, Wednesday from 2pm to 3.30pm at the Learning Studio, Experimental Medicine Building in NTU campus. Prof Lionel Lee, Chairman of NTU IRB and Executive Vice Dean (Administration) of LKCMedicine, will host this lecture.
