Speaker: Mr David Debrincat – “Resource to Market” (how marketing adds value to a mining company – bridge between operation/customer)

• Bio : Chemical Engineer originating from Australia, South32 pioneer, with a love for Iron ore, Manganese and precious Metals.

• Synopsis : Explores how Technical-marketing can create value for a resource company.

Speaker: Ms Deborah Looi – “Personal reflection and career journey of a young Singaporean”

• Bio : Deborah graduated from Singapore Management University with a degree in Economics and Finance in 2010 and started her career with BHP Billiton as a Marketing Graduate in January 2011. As a Graduate with the Manganese Trading and Marketing Unit she spent time in front office and analysis roles, and was also based in the Hague for 5 months as a distribution administrator managing warehouse stocks for Manganese alloys. After the demerger of BHP Billiton and South32, she continued to develop her commercial and market knowledge as a Marketing Manager in the alumina and raw materials team in South32 and more recently as the Market Analyst for the aluminium value chain. In her current role, Debs leads the newly formed Contract Management team.
