Programme: 2:30pm: Arrival of guests 3:00 to 3.25pm: IDEACRACKER – Crowdfunding for Furniture Design Guest Speakers: Nicholas Siew & Shaqeez Muhammad IdeaCracker offers a one-stop (Crowdfunding and Manufacturing) platform to designers in finding the resources and support required to commercialize their furniture designs.
3:25 to 3:50pm: Digital Profiling – Creating Your Story Guest Speakers: Amin Sulaiman, Business Development, Wantedly Founded in 2010 (originally from Tokyo), Wantedly is a social hiring platform that allows talents and companies to meet based on shared mission and values, rather than salary and benefits. Striving to Create a World Where Work Drives Passion, the platform provides opportunities for talents to discover their dream companies, while allowing companies to showcase their brand story and passion projects to build their dream team.
3:50 to 4:15pm: The Demand for Interaction Designers Guest speaker: Kiat Lim Kiat is a practicing Interaction Designer & UX consultant who has over 14 years of experience designing for the web, mobile and screen based experiences. Currently, he runs his own independent design studio KIAT.SGwhich focuses on helping clients deliver better user experience for their products, websites or services. Kiat is also the local chapter coordinator for Interaction Design Association (IXDA), a global non-profit that promotes the discipline of interaction design around the world.
4:15 to 4:40pm: Becoming a MOE Arts Educator Guest Alumni Speaker: Salina Binte Rosli Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, Salina is currently a teacher with Ministry of Education, teaching Art in a secondary school.
4:40 to 5:05pm: Award-winning ADM Alumni sharing their careers creative experience. Guest Alumni Speaker: Low Ser En Low Ser En won a Bafta award for Best British Short Animation for her stop-motion short Poles Apart. The annual Bafta awards are widely seen as the British equivalent of the Oscars in Hollywood.
