Event Info

Nanyang Business School Orientation Week 2018 (NBS O-Week 2018) marks the official start of orientation and university life for all freshmen, and it is the first significant contact a freshmen has with NTU as a student.

This year, we have 5 NBS O-Week 2018 Programmes, with each programme having its own individual theme! The 5 programmes are:

  • NBS Colour Splash

  • NBS FOP

  • NBS Inflammare

  • NBS Rush

  • NBS Zenith

They will be held from 7 August to 11 August 2018 (excluding 9 August)!

All 5 NBS O-Week 2018 Programmes are able to cater to all the incoming freshmen as a whole. Do rank your choices wisely and carefully after checking out the individual NBS O-Week 2018 Programmes on the joint NBS Orientation Week 2018 website!

Registration closes 2 July 2018, 2100 hrs.

Selection Process

  • Freshmen will first be sorted according to their first choice and be allocated to that programme. If the demand exceeds capacity for that particular programme, a computer will randomly select freshmen to be successfully allocated to their first choice.

  • Freshmen who failed to be successfully allocated to their first choice will then be sorted according to their second choice and be allocated to that programme. Likewise, if the demand exceeds capacity, a computer will randomly select freshmen to be successfully allocated to their second choice.

  • The process continues down the order of their preferences until all freshmen are allocated a place.

  • As random allocation will take place if demand exceeds capacity, timing of application submitted will not influence your allocation results (i.e. it is NOT based on first come, first served).

Short Term Accomodation (STA)

All NBS O-Week 2018 programme participants are strongly encouraged to stay on campus under the STA scheme. While freshmen will have to pay a nominal fee, the following benefits of staying on campus will ensure that you will have a memorable time during your orientation programme!

  • STA reduces commuting time to and from the university, allowing participants sufficient time to rest.

  • It also provide participants a safe and clean environment to rest. Proper bathing facilities will be available, ensuring adequate hygiene and sanitation.

For more information on the STA scheme, click here. Your respective Chief Group Leader will inform you of the fees. During the application period, please indicate below whether you want to stay on campus during NBS O-Week 2018.

Programme Fees

While there are no fees to be paid, freshmen will need to pay for their own food. As we are expecting more than 1200 freshmen for NBS O-Week 2018, each programme has catered their own food to mitigate time disruption to their schedules. The cost of food will be informed by your respective Chief Group Leader. All food catered are Halal. Your dietary requirements will be taken into consideration.
