The Excitonics and Polaritonics International Conference aims to bring researchers together from the fields of materials science, nanophotonics, excitonics, plasmonics, and polaritonics. The conference will address the most recent advances in the fabrication of novel nanostructures, such as those based on 2D materials and organic substances, which allow excitons and polaritons to be realized with enhanced properties. There will also be a focus on the understanding of hybrid systems, which require a mix of expertise from different fields, including coupled quantum wells, electronic, plasmonic and phononic systems. Finally, state-of-the-art advancements in excitonics and polaritonics will be discussed, such as their potential quantum geometry and lattice physics, applications in THz physics, superconductivity, and developments towards optoelectronic devices.

The conference is governed by an international scientific steering committee, with experts in materials nanoengineering, quantum and terahertz optics, excitonics, and polaritonics. The conference will take place at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where there are a mix of experimental and theoretical research groups working on 2D materials, hybrid nanophotonics, excitonics and polaritonics. ​
