ADM SELECT is a curated showcase of some of the best design concepts and artworks produced by the 10th graduating batch from Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media. Each of these students has imprinted their own distinct sensibility in solving a variety of design issues, in work that ranges from the social to the personal. Traditional and cutting-edge media and forms are deployed to create designs that emerge from a rigorous period of research and discourse. The exhibition highlights the unique, innovative and creative exploratory projects.

In Collaboration with DESIGN FOR GOOD – What would you do FOR GOOD?

Impact design – whether focused on social or environmental issues – strives to shift away from designing for a universal consumer to meeting more diverse needs.

In order to make such products, designers often reconsider their approaches, using methods such as design thinking to identify problems and generate innovative solutions. Seeking to understand what is most wanted and needed and having conversations with users, as part the design process, has become commonplace.

Come see how NTU ADM students have not only involved users in the process, but also embraced technology as an active collaborator. Held in conjunction with “ADM SELECT”, a series of creative works from the 2018 ADM Graduation Show will be on display at the DESIGN FOR GOOD exhibition.

This year’s programme also includes a pop-up market of social enterprises, a learning journey to the only Kickstarter store in Singapore and a leather-making workshop to make artisan leather items.

DESIGN FOR GOOD is the latest in #THEFORGOODSESSIONS that seeks to inspire students to develop a sense of social awareness and passion for community initiatives. Students will discover through exhibitions, talks, workshops and the arts, how their various disciplines of study can positively impact the world. Previous sessions include Communicate For Good, Finance For Good and Tech For Good.
