Synopsis

Too often entrepreneurs get fixated in delivering a product or service as quickly as possible which can lead to the needs and desires of the customer being neglected. Many companies both large and small have begun to understand the importance of  better understanding their customer. AirBnB realised early on that their platform did not consider the customer experience and quickly made changes which led to a 100% increase in sales within a week. Design thinking provides a framework which puts significant weightage on the human element while not neglecting other factors such as economic  and technical viability. With a focus on asking the right questions and prototyping, a design thinking approach can help reduce cost, time as well as stress in getting a product to market.
