“Cutting-Edge Technologies Geared for the 4th Industrial Revolution”

As part of our "Did You Know" Monthly Talk Series at Nanyang Technological University, we have Professor Louis Phee, Dean, College of Engineering, to speak on the above-mentioned topic.

SYNOPSIS: The advent of the 4th industrial revolution is upon us. New technologies combine the physical, digital and biological worlds that bring about significant changes in all disciplines, industries and economies. Like the previous three industrial revolutions, we would expect the loss of jobs. However, new and exciting jobs would also be created as a result. Some of us would even ask how this industrial revolution would affect the way we, human beings, live our lives. The speaker would talk about groundbreaking research and development activities at NTU that are aligned with the 4th industrial revolution. Today, Robotics, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are, by themselves, intriguing technologies. Tomorrow’s world would see these cutting-edge technologies working seamlessly together to serve humanity.
