Event Info

Overview

This workshop provides a basic introduction to machine learning which include the different techniques used for time-series and classification analyses, basic statistical models used in machine learning and other important basic knowledge relating to machine learning. In addition, this workshop provides a broad introduction to Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Service, a cloud service which supports training, deploying and managing machine learning models on the cloud.

Objectives

This is a general introduction to Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Service, a cloud service which supports training, deploying and managing machine learning models on the cloud.

Outline

  • Types of Azure accounts
  • Setting up Azure Machine Learning service workspace
  • Setting up quick experiments with a cloud and local Jupyter notebooks
  • Demonstrate keys concepts (creation and management of workspace, data preparation, model training, tracking and monitoring experiments, deploying models, consuming and monitoring web services, security)
  • Demonstrate basic tutorials on regression analysis and classification problems

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Python programming
  • Participants will need to bring their own laptops
