As part of the Introductory Field Experience course in Bali at the end of Year 1, all students will be required to undergo and PASS a compulsory swim test (on 5th August 2019, Mon) as a safety precaution. During the swim test, students are to demonstrate their swimming abilities by,

1. Swimming the length of an Olympic sized swimming pool and back (100 metres) in any swim stroke and without any time constraints AND,

2. Treading water continuously for 5 minutes.

Please indicate below when registering whether you will be able to attend this session on Day 1 of the orientation programme. If so, please remember to prepare and bring the necessary swimming gears on that day.

(Do note that this is not the only swim test available. Should students fail/not attend the swim test with a VALID REASON, future sessions will be conducted.)

3. ZERO-WASTE AIM

For ASE FOP 2019, we are hoping to minimise waste as much as possible, not because we are from the school of the environment but because we are people who really care about our planet which is quite obviously in trouble and if we were to continue being and producing trash we probably won't have another orientation programme in 2030 and we hope you would too. Hence, it'll be great for all participants to bring their own,

1. Water bottle

2. Food container

3. Utensils

if not you use your hands

on ALL days (option to wash and leave in ASE is available).

4. PARTICIPATION FEE

NO FEE will be collected from participants for this freshmen orientation programme. However, participants are still required to have with them sufficient cash for meals and transport on certain days.
