Event Info

Nanyang Technopreneurship Center (NTC) offers the Master of Science Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme (MSc TIP) since 2002. This revolutionary curriculum equips candidates with the skills and experiences to take full advantage of advanced technology and global business practices. The unique teaching pedagogy combines institutionalised learning with global immersion trip. MSc TIP aims to develop promising entrepreneurs and leaders with the skills and stamina to build global businesses through an international learning arena beyond the classroom.

7:00pm: "Entrepreneurship education – to remain competitive in the uncertain environment of the future" by Professor Lam Kwok Yan, NTU Singapore
7:45pm: Introduction to MSc TIP by programme director

 

Synopsis

New and emerging technologies are shaping the world we live in and our future. Technology will continue to evolve the role humans play in the workforce. Physical and manual works will be replaced by machine and automation, and jobs that require basic cognitive skill will be replaced by artificial intelligence. Change is inevitable. Future jobs will require high social and cognitive skills, the ability to work with new technologies and understand limitation of technologies to make high quality decisions and act efficiently. In this talk, we will discuss how entrepreneurship education plays a strategic role in shaping and nurturing the interdisciplinary skills that lead to the development of the mindset and ability needed in future workplace to remain competitive in the uncertain environment of the future.
