Event Info Galaxias, the Greek word for galaxy, refers to a huge collection of gas, dust, and billions of stars and their solar systems. This is representative of SPMS, which is made up of many unique and talented freshmen coming together and shining brighter as one. With a wide diversity of incoming freshmen, each with their distinctive strengths and weaknesses, the purpose of this orientation is to bond everyone over fun games and activities. Throughout the orientation, the freshmen will find obstacles in their path which they are unable to overcome on their own. Thus, they will need to leverage on everyone’s unique strengths and weaknesses, forming stronger bonds in the face of setbacks. With this, we aim to show the freshmen that unity is strength and just like a galaxy, while each body is special and unique in its own way, they each play a role in making the galaxy a magnificent entity. Despite the stars in the galaxy being far away from one another, they are still held together as one by gravity. O’Week aims to be the invisible force, forming a path to intertwine each and every freshmen. Just like gravity, the bonds formed will never disappear no matter how far they go, lasting long after the orientation week. Registration for this event has closed. |
