About the seminar:

In today’s rapidly changing world, it is critical to gain an understanding of how cultural elements influence communication between individuals and groups in an organization. Developing strong cross-cultural communication skills is the first step in creating a successful professional environment that brings out the best in the diversity of team members.

Students will be acquainted with what is Culture, Cultural Diversity and Inclusion, and Cultural Perspectives as well as acquire practical aspects of Intercultural Communications. Students will also learn how to resolve / anticipate cross-cultural misunderstandings by fostering effective cross-cultural collaborations.

 

About the speaker:

Dr Andrew Goh makes presentations as a platform speaker to small groups and big conferences. He is known for his insightful yet light-hearted approach. He has written various books including “Management by Humour” which he taught as an Elective subject at NTU. Among other voluntary responsibilities, he has served on the Singapore Advisory Council of World Vision International and the Board of Halogen Young Leaders Foundation.

 

*Do note that students are required to stay for 75% of the seminar duration in order to get their attendance endorsed.
