Event Info

Break a sweat to recharge your battery! Prof Lee Pooi See’s latest research on soft and stretchable battery that is powered by human perspiration could potentially change the smart wearable industry! A small flat battery measuring 2cm by 2cm, the battery is designed to generate electricity in the presence of sweat.

“By capitalizing on a ubiquitous product, perspiration, we could be looking at a more environmentally friendly way of powering wearable devices that does not rely on conventional batteries…. We expect the battery to be capable of powering all sorts of wearable devices,” said Professor Lee Pooi See.
