Embarking Start-Up Journey - Learning about Patent Applications

About the seminar:

The session will cover introduction to patenting, patent application, good practices and internationalizing patent application. The objective is for participants to have a general appreciation and understanding of patent application and its processes. At the end of the webinar, students would have gained useful knowledge about what constitutes a patent application, good practices in preparing a Singapore patent application and ways of internationalizing a patent application.

About the speaker:

Dr Lu Liru has years of experience in patent search and examination in the general field of InfoCommunications. She has rich experience in commercial searches, such as invalidity search and novelty search. She also serves as a mentor and trainer for new examiners. She holds a B.E. (Hons.) degree in electrical and communications engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China; a Ph.D. degree in communications engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and a Master of IP and Innovation Management (IP Management) from Singapore University of Social Sciences.
