Title Further Implementation of Subsystems in a Microgrid Testbed VR Training Simulator
Summary Virtual Reality is a simulated 3D environment where users can explore and interact within a safe virtual environment. The microgrid situated at S2-B7C-05 Clean Energy Research Laboratory in NTU has been integrated into VR by the previous FYP student and requires further development. This project aims to implement more subsystems of the microgrid into VR, enabling users to train themselves on the operation of these devices in an experience closely resembling real-world interactions.

The objectives of the project are:
1. Simulation of subsystems in the microgrid (i.e. Static Frequency Converter, Wind Emulator, Power Amplifier, Capacitor Banks).
2. Enhancement of player UI controls.
3. Further improvements on the simulation’s compatibility and performance.

Students with a background in power engineering and have a strong interest in developing VR programs for real-time applications are welcomed to apply.
