Title Design of Low-Dropout Regulator using Active Capacitor
Summary Low-dropout regulator is one of the key building blocks in power management unit. It can be classified as output capacitor based or output capacitorless topologies. The output capacitor based regulator usually needs a big external capacitor to absorb the transient. However, it suffers from the integration problem. The objective of this project is to explore the use of active capacitor based design for achieving fully-integrated solution. The circuit will be realized in 40nm CMOS technology and its function will be verified by Cadence EDA tools.
