Title Vision-Guided Autonomous Object Sorting with Robotic Arm and Depth Sensing
Summary This project develops an intelligent robotic system capable of autonomously identifying and classifying regular-shaped objects using a depth camera, and accurately dropping each into its corresponding slot. The robot arm’s pickup motion is manually controlled, but the placement phase is fully automated through computer vision and 3D spatial analysis. Using depth sensing and geometric recognition, the system determines object shape, aligns it with pre-defined target locations, and executes precise drop motions. This integration of visual perception and robotic control demonstrates practical object sorting automation, bridging human-assisted handling with machine intelligence.
