Title | Aerial Inspection Assisted by Eye Gaze Tracking from ARIA Smart Glass |
Summary | In this topic, we seek to integrate eye gaze tracking technology from ARIA smart glass to provide a new type of control input for mobile robot during inspection missions. In terms of technique, the project shall explore the solutions from project ARIA (https://www.projectaria.com/) to identify a suitable solution for the eye-gaze-tracking task. In addition, students need to familiarize with the CARIC simulation stack. Next, a control package needs to be developed to translate the eye gaze information to the UAV command. Finally, the evaluation of the eye tracking control and baseline solution are compared to identify the advantage of each method. This project is recommended for students with the following qualities: ● Strong passion for machine learning and computer vision. ● Self-driven, capable of studying from public websites, youtube, books and know how to employ ChatGPT in meaningful ways. ● Good python & C programming skills, capable of troubleshooting problems related to software compatibility ● Good technical communication skills, capable of elaborating problems and ideas to mentors and colleagues. |
