Title AI-based Approach for Relative Localization with UWB Array
Summary Relative localization between robots is essential for effective navigation and formation. Nowadays, UWB technology provides reliable ranging and directional estimation, enabling relative pose estimation by equipping each with multiple UWB nodes. While traditional optimization-based methods perform well in ideal conditions, their accuracy degenerates in uncontrolled environments due to multiple path propagation effects. This FYP project aims to develop a machine learning-based approach as an alternative to traditional optimization-based methods for relative localization. The developed approach will first be tested in a simulation environment and later validated by the real sensor measurements.
