Title Numerical identification of optical fiber modes using image processing
Summary Advancements in optical fiber design are enhancing photonic devices and improving fiber optic networks. Understanding the guidance of light in these fibers is crucial for optimizing their designs. Finite-element modeling is a common method used to numerically determine the properties of guiding modes across various fiber geometries. The extensive dataset generated from these numerical simulations requires careful analysis to identify specific guiding mode patterns. In this project, you will utilize image processing methods to develop a solution that automates this task.
