| Title | Design and Development of an Automated Dog Waste Collection and Cleaning System |
| Summary | This project presents the design and development of an automated dog waste management system that seamlessly integrates mechanical collection and automated cleaning functionalities. The system features a conveyor-based platform engineered to collect and transfer waste efficiently into a designated disposal tray. Built upon an initial proof-of-concept, the design has been upscaled and reinforced with precision-engineered rollers, bearings, and structural supports to enhance rigidity and minimize mechanical flex. Powered by an ESP32 microcontroller and a NEMA17 stepper motor, the conveyor mechanism offers precise, programmable motion control. Integrated ultrasonic and motion sensors enable intelligent, automatic activation based on pet presence or movement. To ensure hygiene and user convenience, a water pump module is incorporated to perform targeted spray cleaning, effectively cleaning the platform after each operation. Overall, the system demonstrates a practical and scalable approach to smart pet hygiene management, combining automation, sensor integration, and mechanical design for improved efficiency, cleanliness, and ease of use. |
