| Title | Development of intelligent window cleaning robot with surface cleanliness detection. |
| Summary | This project focuses on the design and development of an intelligent window cleaning robot aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of high-rise window maintenance. With current robotic advancements, there are commercial window cleaning robots, however many fail to meet customers’ expectations, due to their limited cleaning efficiencies and lack of adaptability in cleaning windows. The proposed robot utilizes a vacuum adhesion system to maintain stable contact with the glass surface while performing cleaning operations. It integrates optical sensors to detect the level of surface cleanliness, allowing it to adapt its cleaning cycles for optimal performance. The project involves hardware integration, control algorithm development using a microcontroller, and evaluation on glass surfaces to determine its cleanliness. The outcome aims to demonstrate an affordable, intelligent, and safe robotic solution for automated window cleaning applications. |
