Title Developing an E-Commerce Platform for Hand-Made Goods in China Based on Open-Source Medusa.js
Summary This project aims to develop a fully functional e-commerce platform for the Chinese market, enabling users to buy, sell, and trade hand-made goods. The platform will be built using Medusa.js, an open-source e-commerce framework, to streamline development and minimize future maintenance. The backend, developed with Node.js and PostgreSQL, will handle secure authentication with JWT, order management, and compliance with Chinese data regulations. It will integrate payment solutions such as WeChat Pay and Alipay and provide API endpoints for seamless communication with the frontend. Customizations will include UI localization to support a fully Chinese-language interface, adjustments for local currency, and region-specific search and filtering. The student will optimize performance, responsiveness, and mobile compatibility while ensuring smooth integration with WeChat Pay and Alipay. Knowledge of Chinese will be necessary for proper UI translation and compliance with local market expectations. Testing will ensure system stability and usability before final deployment on Alibaba Cloud or Tencent Cloud. The student needs to Experiences in Java/JavaScript and database will be useful for this project.
