Title | Design of a high-torque density amorphous axial-flux permanent magnet machine for electric aircraft application |
Summary | The project aims to develop a high-torque-density amorphous axial-flux permanent magnet machine for electric aircraft propulsion. Axial-flux machines offer significant advantages due to their compact structure and high torque density, making them well-suited for aerospace applications. However, efficiency and power losses remain critical challenges in propulsion motors. To address this, the use of amorphous alloy materials will be explored to minimize losses and enhance overall efficiency. This project will focus on the design and simulation of the proposed axial-flux machine. If manufacturing is feasible, experimental validation will be conducted to assess its performance. Exceptional designs may be fabricated as experimental prototypes for concept validation. |
