Title | Biometric-Based Authentication System Using traditional and AI/ML algorithms for Face Recognition |
Summary | Recent studies show that use of online services has significantly increased, however, the online attacks have also been on the rise at the same time and in majority cases, the attack was results of an unauthorized access. Thus, the purpose of this project is to develop a face recognition-based authentication system for secure login to prevents unauthorized access using liveness detection. Students will be required to implement various traditional and AI/ML based face recognition algorithms (Haar Cascades, MTCNN, FaceNet, DeepFace, etc.), train Face Recognition Model (CNNs, SVMs, etc. for face recognition), and implement anti-spoofing techniques to prevent face image/video attacks (Use infrared-based detection or eye-blinking detection). It is expected that the final working system will be able to show the usage and benefits of face recognition-based techniques for online security. |
