Title Active Low Pass Filter Design, Simulation and Analysis
Summary Background
Active low pass filters (LPFs) are commonly used to allow low frequency desired signal to pass through while blocking high frequency interfering signals. The performance of the active LPF is the attenuation at the stop band. In some situation, higher order filter is necessary to have very good rejection at the stop band.

Project Scope
In this project, the active LPF will be designed and simulated based on the required attenuation specifications in the stop band. The student will design the LPF and simulate it in the SPICE simulation tool. Various LPFs will be designed to provide different levels of attenuations at the stop band. The student will acquire the skills of active LPF design using SPICE simulation tool to evaluate the performance of LPF in frequency-domain. If time permits, the active LPF will be constructed for experimental validation.
