Title Object-aware image enhancement for object detection under adverse condition (Part 2)
Summary One of challenging problems in autonomous vehicle is the object detection under adverse conditions. The performance of the object detector learned from clear day data will be dropped significantly. In order to detect objects robustly under adverse conditions, domain adaptation could be an efficient approach. This project aims to improve object detection accuracy at night/rain by enhancing image or point cloud. Different from the existing enhancement approaches which are interested in visual quality, we are interested in object detection. Object-aware enhancement will be studied in this project.
