Title | NLOS Identification using machine learning in UWB-IR measured channel impulse responses |
Summary | Ultra Wideband Impulse Radio (UWB-IR) is a promising technology for indoor localization. However, its positioning accuracy is deteriorated by None Line of Sight (NLOS) signal propagation, which induces a positive bias in range estimation. The ability to identify NLOS is important in a localization system. In this project the student will investigate NLOS identification techniques and machine learning techniques and apply them on UWB-IR measured channel impulse responses. The validity of the NLOS identification technique will be tested through a small in indoor test-bed setup. |
