Title Ultra-Wideband-based Indoor Positioning and Tracking with Sensor Fusion
Summary This project studies the implementation of Ultra-Wideband for indoor positioning and location tracking. For outdoor scenarios, positioning is commonly achieved using GPS. However, GPS is not able to deliver high accuracy for indoor scenarios due to signal attenuation caused by surrounding building materials. Wireless technologies such Wifi and Bluetooth are alternatives for indoor positioning, however the performance is limited due to their relatively small bandwidth. On the other hand, UWB offers a large bandwidth enabling high time-resolution measurement. These properties make UWB a promising solution for indoor positioning and location tracking.
