Title Development of Dual-Band Walking Tracker with Integrated Display
Summary This project aims to design and develop a portable Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) tracking device using ESP32-S3 microcontroller and a Dual-Band Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) module (L1+L5). Unlike traditional single-band GPS tracker with faces signals drift and multipath errors, the use of dual-band GNSS provides higher positioning accuracy and improved reliability. The device will have a display for data. Using a SD card for storage data logging. The device will leverage the ESP32-S3’s deep sleep capabilities and GNSS power-saving modes to extend battery life. The outcome is a low-cost, customizable, and energy-efficient GPS tracker showcasing the benefits of dual-band technology for fitness and personal navigation applications.
