Title Automating light-matter interaction experiments
Summary Many optical experiments require continuously varying the input laser power and polarization to better understand light-matter interactions. Automating these experiments can save time and improve data quality.
The aim of this project is to develop an automated system for conducting light-matter interactions experiments. This will utilize motorized stages to mount optical elements that control the laser beam’s power and polarization. These stages will be connected to a computer and controlled by Python scripts to automate their motions and facilitate data acquisition. Optical power meters and spectrometers will be employed to measure the output and provide feedback for the automation process.
