Title | Portable outdoor ground antenna system for satellite tracking |
Summary | This is to setup a portable ground station that is able to track and receive satellite signal. The system shall be linked to the international ground station network - SatNOGS, and provide all the relevant data to the satellite community. Student shall setup an industrial PC based on Linux that can link to the NTU WiFi network. The PC shall be controlling a SDR (Software Defined Radio) that is able to communicate with the satellite through an UHF antenna system. Student shall also analyse and setup a solar power system to the ground station system. Study must be done to analyse the various scenario and make calculation for the setup in term of power, thermal, and signal budget. |
