Title Design of Wideband Power Amplifier for Cognitive Radio Communication Systems
Summary Wideband reconfigurable cognitive radio has attracted great attention in both academic and industry since it will become the core technique for the next generation communication system. By employing this technique, most of wireless standard such as GSM, UMTS/WCDMA, GPRS, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Wireless PAN etc. all can be integrated into one RF/baseband chipset.
In this project, a multiband multimode power amplifier will be designed, to cover 900M GSM, 2.1G WCDMA, and 2.4G WLAN applications. The new power combining with adaptive power control technique will be studied. The circuit will be simulated in Cadence, and the CMOS fabrication may be done.
