Title Novel Microstrip Bandpass Filter for 5G mm-Wave wireless communications
Summary In today's world, the growing demand for wireless communication applications has raised consumer expectations for rapid and effective communication, necessitating advanced transmission speeds. Concurrently, the progression of wireless communications has played a pivotal role in the development of mobile communication technology, culminating in the arrival of the Fifth Generation (5G). The 3GPP has outlined three distinct usage scenarios for 5G communications. In 5G technology, there are two frequency bands employed: Sub-6 GHz and mm-wave. While a wide range of spectrum is available, 5G applications do not utilize the entire sub-6 GHz bandwidth. The required channel band-widths for 5G systems typically range from 5 to 400 MHz. The band-pass filter (BPF) has the ability to selectively permit a specific range of frequencies, called the passband, to pass through while suppressing frequencies outside this range.
