Title | Smart Toothbrush Microfluidic Chip for Rapid Liver Disease Screening |
Summary | This FYP project aims to develop a microfluidic chip system for detecting liver-related viral biomarkers and chronic liver diseases related biomarkers in a non-invasive manner. The student will learn about microfluidic and real hands-on microfabrication technology to build a sensor chip system. The sensor includes several parts which will need the student to fabricate and integrate together. The final end prototype will be a glucose sensor for saliva test, which can provide a new form to screen viral diseases. This is the first of its kind in the market and will collaborate with clinical doctors and hospital if the student is keen to learn more. This is an experimental based project. No biomed experiments needed or required. Interested students shall send an email to Prof. Chen with your brief CV.
