| Summary | This project aims to develop an application that can read aloud any text displayed on a device's screen. This app is unlike existing tools/apps such text-to-speech apps which normally are limited to reading aloud PDF pages or eBooks. We attempt to build such an app by combining OCR, NLP, and speech synthesis to let it function like a human reader. The solution could have potential to improve accessibility for visually impaired users and, in general, provide a convenient productivity tool for everyday usage. |
