Title Optical Characterization of Ge/GeSn Materials for Near-IR Application
Summary Ge or GeSn has a number of interesting properties that Si does not, particularly for light detection at the telecom wave-length. In this project, you will work with a post-doc/graduate student to work on buffer-less and direct growth of Ge (or GeSn) on Si substrate. You will work on the modeling/simulation, optical characterization of the Ge/GeSn films for photo-detector application. Requirement: Student must be willing to work on modeling/simulation and to perform characterization in other labs within NTU as needed.
