Title Actuation and control of ferrofluid droplets
Objective This project aims to develop a microsystem for actuation and control of ferrofluid droplets. The droplets are surrounded by an immiscible fluid and actuated by integrated microcoils.
Scope The student will design a microcoil system on a printed circuit board. The coild will be driven by an external circuit which is connected to a computer. Following functions need to be realized:1) Continous movement on a two-dimensional plane2) Positioning at a given place
