| Title | iLion: Control and programming of a miniature articulated lion-dance robot |
| Objective | SIMTech and NTU are currently embarking on the development of a life-size Chinese lion dance robot for entertainment purpose. The objective of this project is to program and control a mini multi-DOF robotic lion system, iLion, built as scaled down version of the life-size one, to be able to walk and manipulate the lion head to perform lion dance autonomously or through remote control. |
| Scope | The task includes selecting proper embedded controller for multiple servo motor control, motion coordination and design for iLion. The students will work closely with SIMTech engineers and other FYP students for the final demonstration of the system. |
