| Title | Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) Control of Multiple Mobile Robots with Vary Degree of Autonomy |
| Objective | Intelligent adaptive control interfaces are important for physical mobile robot control. Such interfaces are being explored on portable devices such as Laptop, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s), or the newer tablet PC’s. The main objective of this project is to extend the current PDA control interface for controlling multiple robots. |
| Scope | (1) To develop a flexible yet generic PDA control framework that allows control of different semi-autonomous mobile robotics platform in RRC; (2) Provide the human user with different level of “intelligent” control (i.e. from manual to autonomous mode) in delegating tasks to different robots via the PDA; (3) Allows different PDA human users to cooperate to control a multiple mobile robot. |
