| Title | Design and development of a bio-signal monitoring system |
| Objective | The objective of this project is to design and develop a Computer-Human Interface System to capture and display bio-signal. This system is to cater for the needs of spinal cord injury (SCI) and post-stroke patient. |
| Scope | Student is required to design a wearable sensor suit that can capture necessary bio-signals. (Joint angle, EMG, etc) The signals will be collected from several joints and locations of lower body. The designed device should not become a burden to the wearer and the device should not hinder the movement of the wearer. Wearer should be comfortable when wearing it. The device should be lightweight and small in size. The device should be designed to allow easy putting on and taking off the wearer. Student should be exploring different sensor that can capture human motion. (Encoder, EMG and etc.) The student is required to develop a graphical user interface (GUI). This software will be capable to receive the data from data acquisition unit connecting the sensor and display the information to the user. |
