About the seminar: 

This seminar will provide an understanding of depression – its prevalence, risk factors and identifying symptoms. Students will learn how some of the challenges faced by post-graduate students can impact their mental health, learn how to support someone with negative emotions and some of the treatments available to deal with them. The interactive session allows students to practice what they have learned as well as get answers for their queries in the Q&A section.
 

About the speaker:

Dr John Shepherd Lim, Chief Wellbeing Officer of Singapore Counselling Centre

John is an experienced professional with more than two decades of experience in conducting counselling sessions for individuals and couples. He has helped many clients through issues such as depression, stress, suicidal thoughts, anger management, and many more.

 

*Do note that students are required to stay for 75% of the seminar duration in order to get their attendance endorsed.
