Join us for this training session to discover more about NTU Library's tools and services supporting research and learn how to use SciFinder-n. SciFinder-n is a tool that allows you to navigate scientific literature covering chemistry including patent literature.
Session #1 - CAS Analytical Methods and Formulus
- Locate hard-to-find analytical methods and formulations in a quick and easy way
- Browse and compare different analytical procedures for method development in various areas e.g. Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Water analysis
- Understand a formulation’s effectiveness with quick access to the best information for active ingredients and excipients
V Somasundram, Senior Librarian, NTU Library
Soma is a Senior Librarian with NTU Library Academic Engagement Team. He helps to manage the library’s award-winning central enquiry management system, and engages NTU researchers through customised literature search consultations.
Pamela Oon, Customer Success Specialist, CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society
Based in Singapore, Pamela is responsible for providing advance training on SciFinder and STN to customers in Southeast Asia (SEA), Hong Kong and Macau. She is also the technical expert for the regional sales team, promotes CAS new products and understands market needs across multiple disciplines. Pamela has extensive experience as a synthetic and medicinal chemist. Prior to joining CAS, she was a Senior Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline working on neuroscience drug discovery from hit-to-lead to preclinical phase.
Pamela graduated from the Department of Chemistry at National University of Singapore with BSc. (Hons.) and MSc. (Chemistry).
