Crafting Your 3MT Narrative - Session 2

by  Ms Umarani Jayapal (NTU Library)

22 February 2022, Tuesday | 10.00am – 11.30am | Livestream

About the seminar:

This seminar is intended for participants to begin thinking about the narrative of their research so that they can form a story for their research to present during the 3MT competition. The seminar itself consists of a writing cube activity to allow them to rethink their research from different perspectives, then time to craft a first sentence for their speech before sharing with the class for peer feedback. The Librarians will also be sharing tips and best practices on crafting the story of their research as well as some presentation tips.

About the speaker:

Umarani is from the Digital Scholarship & Education Team in NTU Library. She has 10 years of experience in designing workshops to empower participants to be able to put their best foot forward in their academic journey in areas such as Information Literacy, Research Skills, Presentation skills, using Reference Management Software and entering the Scholarly Communication world.

*Do note that students are required to stay for 75% of the seminar duration in order to get their attendance endorsed.
