Connecting with Others Through Empathy

by  Ms Emily Chen

24 Aug 2022, Wed | 10.30am – 12noon | Livestream

About the seminar:

This session is about learning why demonstrating empathy is the key when interacting with others, through verbal and non-verbal skills, and to recognise opportunities to demonstrate empathy. This applies to thinking, problem-solving, managing behaviour and relationships, which includes regulating one’s own emotions when necessary and helping others to do the same. Participants will also be introduced to EQ framework to identify and manage emotions and to build a positive relationship with others. Participants shall understand what EQ is and is not, recognise emotional states and triggers, and apply EQ to a variety of settings.

About the speaker:

Emily leverages her strong background in hospitality to provide effective training programmes for teams and organisations. Emily has coached many participants to deal with a wide range of issues at the workplace, drawing on her 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Emily started her career with the prestigious Singapore Island Country Club where she proved herself to be a valuable asset to the Banquet and Events Department. Emily went on to assume the position of Events Sales Manager at the Meritus Mandarin.
