The Guest of Honour for this talk will be Ms Lien Siaou-Sze (NTU Vice President for Advancement). 

The talk will be conducted in Chinese.

The speaker, NTU alumnus Mr Steven Lim, is the founder of a martial arts school. At this talk, he will share his knowledge of maintaining one’s health and wellbeing through learning the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Chinese martial arts (Wushu).

The talk will discuss Huangdi Neijing 《黄帝内经》, an ancient Chinese medical collection written more than two thousand years ago. It is the earliest and most important written work of TCM and still has a great impact on the theory and practice of TCM today. The talk also covers the different perspectives between the West and East on the promotion of Lifespan & Healthspan. It will then cover the various aspects on what we should do to prolong our life and maintaining our health, touching on food we consume to understanding how we can "activate" our various Meridian points on our body to achieve a balance of Qi. Similarly, will cover the Western's views on using modern scientific discovery of multiple Molecules to achieve the topic on anti-Aging and Longevity.
