About the seminar:

This interactive webinar will equip participants to be both more conscious about and improve the quality of their thinking. After attending, participants will be better able to incorporate critical thinking into their work. Barriers to critical thinking will be highlighted and discussed to further improve the effectiveness of researchers. The webinar is specifically targeted to the needs of PhD researchers and questions will be welcomed throughout the session.

About the speaker:

With a background as a Chartered Engineer in aerospace engineering, Elaine is a freelance soft skills development consultant and an expert in doctoral education and career management. For more than ten years, Elaine led the team responsible for postgraduate professional development at Imperial College London, supporting more than 6000 graduate students in realising both academic and career goals. During this time, the innovation and impact of her team’s work were recognised by two national awards and resulted in numerous invitations to partner with internationally leading universities including NTU, HKU, MIT, and Tsinghua University.
